Mariagrazia Mazzitelli, editorial director of Salani. Topic of discussion: “1987-2017: Gl’Istrici Salani turns 30. An overview of children’s literature and publications in Italy”
Publishing House Salani, for al those who may not know, is protagonist of the revival of the fantasy and the fantastic novel in Italy. It has published the Harry Potter Series written By J.K>Rowling and novels by other authors, such as David Almond, Roald Dahl, Roddy Doyle, Michael Ende, Jostein Gaarder, Jean Giono, Eva Ibotson, Tove Jansson, Astrid Lindgren, Christine Noestlinger, Daniel Pennac, Philip Pullman, Luis Sepulveda and Silvana Gandolfi.


Marija Ott Franolić

Marija Ott Franolić, topic of discussion: “Importance of reading workshops in the kindergarten and workshops with students at the Teacher’s faculty”.

Postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies – Southeast Europe (CAS SEE, University of Rijeka, Croatia). She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, majoring in Russian language and Comparative Literature. She completed her PhD studies on the same university, with the thesis dedicated to exploring women’s everyday lives, based on their diaries and autobiographies. She is actively involved in the projects of the NGO Blaberon, aimed at encouraging reading and critical thinking.

Director of the Mediterranean Festival “Stelle divine” (first edition) in Atrani-Costa d’Amalfi. Director of the national project  Teatricontroesclusione” (third edition) Cagliari, Naples, as well as many other projects. He is the author of dozens of scientific papers and books in psychiatry-psychology, about mental health, etc.Topic of dicussion: “Books help you grow up. Andriana Dragovic

Andriana Dragovic graduated in Art History and Archaeology and MA in Culture Studies in Literature. Has been working in publishing for more than 15 years as translator and as editor. Has translated and edited numerous fiction and non-fiction titles. Has participated in many international book fairs (Frankfurt, London, Paris, Gothenburg, Belgrade, Istanbul). Has organized many events regarding the reading culture in Macedonia, including such targeting children. Has organized the events regarding the Tabernakul International Literary Award. Author of texts in publications concerning the Macedonian cultural heritage such as monographs and tourist guides.
